 Toni and Ken Smith live in Rural Idaho, Surrounded by the Rocky Mountains. This allows both of them to hunt and Fish when time permits.
Toni was a stay at home mom when a friend introduce her to QUILTING. For the next few month sleep was hard to come by and no old clothing was safe from being cut into quilt strips.
In 1990/91 Toni introduced her first foundation piecing patterns to the world. She had many "Firsts" in this category including Flamingo, sunburst, wizards star, dolls for piecing or appliqué, as well as traditional favorites Feathered Star and Flying Swallows.
Toni Teaches on a limited basis and is available to teach anything she has designed.
The Studio" is Toni's basement in her home and does keep the quilting clutter in a somewhat contained area. Ken is grateful for small wonders.
In 2001, Toni introduced Water Soluble Paper to the quilting market. There was such a Huge demand for this product that she couldn't get any design work done and so in the next year Prym Dritz took over the distribution rights the paper to leave Her time to design and sew.
Toni Travels to quilt shows to sell her patterns and meet new people.
